Checklist of Home Loan Documents
Most home loan lenders follow a similar process. Your employment, liabilities and what type of home loan request add to the documents that are requested during a home loan application. There are too many variables, and it varies with each lenders requirements. This is a general checklist, and you may not need some of them.
Personal Identification
- Driver's licence
- Passport / Birth Certificate
- Medicare card
Income & Employment
- 2 recent payslips (Employer's business name and yours, Address, ABN, Year-to-date)
- Latest tax return or Notice of Assessment
- Employment contract / Employer's letter
Assets & Liabilities
- Bank statements
- Details of existing loans, credit cards, or debts
- Superannuation statements relating to age (if home loan runs into retirement)
Property Information
(if refinancing or purchasing)- Contract of Sale (if available)
- Details of deposit or savings for the property (comes from bank statements)
- Building or pest inspection reports (if already conducted)
Other Relevant Documents
- Centrelink statements (if applicable)
